Do I need Insurance on a Holiday Caravan
In short, the cost of insuring a holiday caravan can vary depending on several factors. These factors include the age of the caravan, its value, where it’s located, and the level of coverage you choose. On average, the cost of insurance for a holiday caravan in the UK ranges from £100 to £500 per year.
At Beverley Holidays we require all our holiday homes to be insured before you use them. Ordinarily, we will provide the first 12 months’ cover from purchase. For more information please contact our Sales Team who will be able to advise you.
Factors that can affect the cost of your insurance
- Newer holiday caravans ordinarily cost more to insure than older ones because they tend to have a higher value. As such, insurance providers consider the caravan’s age when determining the cost.
- Where your caravan is located can also impact insurance costs. If it’s situated close to water or in an area that experiences frequent high winds, insurance premiums may be higher.
- The level of cover you choose. Just like car insurance, holiday caravan insurance comes in different levels. Basic insurance typically covers theft, accidental damage, and public liability. However, you may choose to add additional cover for your contents, or legal expenses. Each added coverage will increase the overall cost of insurance.
Remember, it’s crucial to protect your caravan with insurance to enjoy your holiday home worry-free.
At Beverley Holidays we require all our holiday homes to be insured before use, for more information please contact our Sales Team for a quote.
