The sun may have set on Summer 2022 but here at Beverley Holidays in South Devon we’re already looking forward to a jam-packed October Half Term.

It’s set to be full of lots of spooktacular Halloween fun for all the family, both in our holiday parks and in and around Paignton, Torquay and Brixham. Take a look at our top picks…

Wonderful World of Potions, Paignton Zoo

Take your little witches and wizards to Paignton Zoo this Halloween between 22-30 October 2022 for their Wonderful World of Potions show. Taking place between 11am and 3.30pm each day, these spellbinding shows will certainly get you into the spooky spirit, as will the fang-tastic animal talks and ranger activities themed around ‘Fact or Frightful Fiction’ and ‘Trick or Don’t Eat’.

A (Very) Batty Half Term, Kents Cavern

Dare to delve into the depths of Kents Cavern and join in with bat-tastic activities themed around these winged cave dwellers. Have fun decorating your very own egg-box bat, have a giggle on the batty joke trail or take on the Bat Challenge – a woodland trail where you can discover the 17 different bat species native to the UK.

The Big Occombe Scarecrow Trail, Occombe Farm

Head along to the newly revamped Occombe Farm for some thrilling fun this October Half Term, including a chance to create creepy decorations with its daily craft sessions. Plus, take your pick from its Pumpkin Patch and then get some tips on how to carve a spooky creation to take home. Plus, spot scarecrows around the farm on a trail of discovery that will also take you to Cockington and Berry Head.

Halloween Miniature Pumpkin Hunt & Evening Illuminations, Babbacombe Model Village

Little horrors will love seeking out the Halloween scenes dotted around the miniature world of Babbacombe Model Village, with its Miniature Pumpkin Trail giving kids the chance to win a spooky treat. Once night falls, the eerie atmosphere continues with its evening illuminations, complete with fantastic fire effects – the perfect day and night out this October Half Term.
